Donald Trump has pulled off another important win in the race to become the Republican Party nominee but his sole remaining challenger, Nikki Haley, has said she is not going down without a fight.
The results came in early for Donald Trump – a clear win– but a smaller margin than the polls were predicting.
In the end, the former president claimed 54.59 per cent to Haley’s 43.55 per cent.
Despite the loss, Nikki Haley is still pushing forward for the Republican nomination, saying “this race is far from over”.
The South Carolina Republican primaries will be held on February 24, before Super Tuesday on March 7.
