A violent stabbing at a Brooklyn subway station on Saturday morning left a man seriously wounded and two suspects on the lam, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the bloody assault occurred at about 5:43 a.m. on Nov. 16 at the Bay 50th Street station on the D line, above the intersection of Stillwell Avenue and Bay 50th Street in Gravesend.
Officers from the 60th Precinct and NYPD Transit District 34, in responding to a 911 call about the assault, found the victim, a 31-year-old man, at the station with a single stab wound to his abdomen. Police sources said he was conscious and alert when police arrived at the scene.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police believe two male suspects, believed to be in their 20s and of Hispanic descent, were involved in the attack. They were seen fleeing out of the station moments before cops arrived.
EMS rushed the wounded victim to NYU Langone Brooklyn Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
