Meeting directly with candidates holds significance for Iowans, with a tradition set by Senator Chuck Grassley, making personal interactions crucial for candidates’ success in the state. Candidates like DeSantis and Ramaswamy emphasize this by committing to a full Grassley, visiting all 99 precincts, as TV ads alone may not resonate with Iowa voters.
