Brooklyn detectives are looking for the suspect who shot a man at a nail salon on Tuesday night. 

Police said the shooting occurred inside the business near 795 Crown St. in Crown Heights at about 9:25 p.m. on May 7.

Officers from the 71st Precinct, in responding to a 911 call about the shooting, found the victim, a 24-year-old man, lying on the floor of the shop with a gunshot wound to his back.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown at this time. Police sources said the victim told detectives he had been wounded by a gunman wearing all-black clothing.

EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.

In the 71st Precinct, crime is up 18.56% year-to-date, according to the latest NYPD data, and assaults are up 41.7%. But shootings are down significantly — as of May 4, just one shooting had been reported in the precinct, down from four during the same period last year.
