Special victims detectives are on the hunt for a Brooklyn pervert who broke into a senior’s home last weekend and sexually assaulted her as she slept.

According to police sources, the heinous incident unfolded inside an apartment near Berriman Street and Liberty Avenue in East New York at about 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 30.

Authorities said the sicko snuck into the residence by climbing inside via the kitchen window. Moments later, he walked into a nearby bedroom where a 71-year-old woman was sleeping.

Cops said the suspect crept up on her, then began choking her and groping her genitals. He then stole the woman’s pajama pants, then exited the residence; he was last seen fleeing southbound on Atkins Avenue.

The incident was reported to the 75th Precinct. EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. Detectives have released surveillance images of the attacker and are asking the public’s assistance in identifying him.

Cops shot and killed a man at a Brooklyn police precinct on Sunday morning after he allegedly slashed one officer with a knife, sources familiar with the case said.

According to sources familiar with the incident, a man attempted to enter through the rear of the 73rd Precinct stationhouse located at 1470 East New York Ave. in Brownsville just before 6 a.m. on Sept. 7.

Sources said a female officer at the 73rd Precinct stopped the man from entering. Seconds later, it was reported, the man pulled out a knife and slashed the cop across her face.

Several officers came to the wounded cop’s aid and confronted the assailant. The man fled but others gave chase when one of the officers shot the suspect. Shell casings could be seen scattered over the street. A knife was also recovered at the scene.

The wounded suspect was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, sources familiar with the investigation said. The officers involved in the incident were also transported to a local hospital and are listed in stable condition.

Authorities are expected to release more details in the coming hours.
