Maimonides Health marked a milestone Monday with the opening of the Maimonides Doctors Clinton Hill Pavilion, a new facility bringing together nearly 40 doctors across 14 specialties under one roof.
The Pavilion, located at the corner of Vanderbilt and Atlantic Avenues, consolidates three established Maimonides practices — Doctors Sunrise Medical Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology Women’s Health and Multispecialty Care — into one modern, full-service destination. Designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind, officials say the facility offers coordinated, comprehensive care for central Brooklyn residents in a single, state-of-the-art setting.
“For more than 100 years, Maimonides has been providing state-of-the-art, person-focused health care with a strong belief that every Brooklynnite deserves access to this high-quality care,” said Ken Gibbs, president and CEO of Maimonides Health.
The Pavilion opens at a time when Clinton Hill and nearby neighborhoods are experiencing population growth, Gibbs said, and rising demand for local medical services, which has often outpaced existing resources.
“In Clinton Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods, there is a growing population and an increasing demand for precisely the type of care Maimonides delivers,” he said. “With Maimonides Doctors Clinton Hill Pavilion, we are bringing the expertise of Maimonides as Brooklyn’s premier health care destination to a new, convenient location built with patients in mind every step of the way.”
The Clinton Hill Pavilion is equipped with 43 examination rooms and seven surgical exam rooms, along with a dedicated surgical procedure room. Specialized services include OB/GYN imaging such as ultrasound, as well as a vascular lab with two ultrasound bays, and patients have access to cardiac diagnostics, including EKG testing and vital signs monitoring.
Designed to enhance patient experience, the building — which boasts on-site testing for bloodwork, urine analysis, rapid strep and COVID-19 — also offers spacious waiting areas filled with natural light, private exam rooms, ADA-compliant accessibility, and amenities like a lactation room.
The Pavilion brings together expertise from three trusted practices: Maimonides Doctors Sunrise Medical Group, founded in 1995 and known for its primary care, preventive services, and chronic disease management; Maimonides Obstetrics and Gynecology Women’s Health, led by Dr. Millicent Comrie and providing comprehensive services from family planning to menopause care; and Maimonides Multispecialty Care, which offers advanced procedures across bariatric, thoracic, pediatric, neurosurgery, and urology specialties.
